Consultancy. Publishing. Distribution.
Have you finished a manuscript and don’t know what comes next?
Have you searched in vain for a ‘traditional’ publisher and now need to look at Plan B?
Do you want to ‘move up a gear’ on your self-publishing journey?
Valericain Press offers a ‘done with you’ service designed to support your author journey. We’re not a vanity press, nor a traditional publisher. This is a collaborative approach, characterised by transparency.
We offer everything from a couple of hours consultancy to assisting you with a book’s full publication cycle. We help shortcut your learning curve, so you don’t have to upskill unnecessarily, apply for new online services, and you can avoid many common mistakes and sources of rework.
Our rates are designed to be affordable, based on a desire to help other authors. The prices of our support and services do exclude the costs of purchasing specific items – e.g. external supplier rates, standard industry registration fees, print costs, image licenses.
There’s no cut of royalties taken, no one-size-fits all fee, no wild promises of sales or marketing success. We won’t send out spam emails or unsolicited DMs. We do not advocate buying book reviews or social media followers. We will not sell your data to and third parties.
You can have as little or much input from us as you wish. You become indie published, rather than self-published. We offer access to range of tools and information, designers and printers, and a network of complementary suppliers.
You have access to UK national bookshop distribution with sales data reporting. You retain control, including the rights. You can leave at any time; we will handover files so that you are not tied in to us.
